Home / School Partnerships

The Home-School Partnerships programme involves meetings at school that focus on empowering families, teachers and children to strengthen home-school relationships and to work together to support children's learning.

The emphasis is on bringing families and the school closer together to assist children in their their learning. In these sessions teachers learn about the culture and language experiences that children bring to school with them, and how they can incorporate the strengths and knowledge that children from a variety of cultures bring to their classrooms. Parents and families can learn more about the school culture and how school processes work in order to likewise support the children at home. Teachers and parents lead in each of the schools ethnic groups and undergo training to run these sessions.

Children will bring home notices advising of dates of upcoming sessions, as well as dates and times being printed in the newsletter.

Every family of the school is warmly invited to attend Home-School Partnership sessions.
