Rachel McCarten, one of our current BT parent reps have shared her thoughts about the role.

"It has been a great privilege to serve on the Board of Trustees at Onehunga Primary School. I have enjoyed working with a range of people around the Board Table, engaging in robust discussions to work towards the best outcomes for our students. I have felt that I have been able to contribute to the Onehunga Primary School and wider Onehunga community in my time on the Board of Trustees. There is a lot of support and training provided by the New Zealand Schools Trustees Association (NZSTA).   I encourage anyone who is considering it to give it a go!"
