Supporting our School - Beats By Bingo
How Does This Support Our School?
The ‘Quiz Night’ or Beats By Bingo event has been organised and run by a group of OPS whānau for a number of years now. It's a fun night out, a great way to get to know other parents and staff AND it raises a significant amount of money for our school each year.
As explained in this week’s newsletter, fitting out our new building and especially new spaces is funded by our school. The new’ Cook & Create’ spaces are an really exciting addition for our children’s learning and we want to make sure they are equipped with all of the appliance and equipment
How Does The ‘Bingo’ Work?
Each individual gets a bingo card per round. You listen to the songs as they are played and cross it out on your bingo card if you have that song. First to cross out all the songs on their card wins that round!
Because it’s an individual game you can swap tables to mix and mingle through the night. It’s a lot of fun!
In addition there will be games, prizes and live and silent auctions.
We realise that some people don’t do dressup which is fine. 'Dress up' is optional as the most important thing is we have as much as our school community there as possible.
Don’t have enough in a group for a table?
Not a problem. You can either come as a table or get grouped together with others at a table.
Getting to and from Mt Smart Stadium Gate C (Beasley Ave)
There is plenty of parking on Beasley Ave or the venue is a very short (and cheap) Uber ride away. There will be a free bus returning to Onehunga Mall (outside the Bramble) after the event has finished.
We have had amazing support from local business by providing prizes. You can find out about these on the “Quiz Night’ facebook page…https://www.facebook.com/opspubquiz/
