Children's Second Hand Clothing Sale
At Onehunga Primary, we are proud to be an enviroschool. Our kaupapa is built on caring for our environment and finding creative ways to live more sustainably. This term, the Friends of the School is putting those values into practice with a second-hand kids' clothing fundraiser.
Did you know that textile waste is one of the fastest-growing contributors to our landfills? By repurposing and reusing high quality clothes within our own school whānau, we are:
Reducing waste and our collective carbon footprint
Embracing a circular economy where items are valued and kept in use.
Supporting our school, with funds raised going directly toward our goal of ensuring every class attends at least one school trip in 2026.
The clothing sale night: Wednesday 18 March 6.30-8pm.
Any questions, please contact Amanda Wellgreen phone 021 742682.
We're looking for donations of clean, good-quality kids' clothing (sizes 3-13), including school uniforms and sports gear.
Collection dates: Monday 16 Feb - Wednesday 18 February
Drop-off point: Please bring items to the school foyer between 8.20-8.45am during the specified collection dates.
Quality check: To respect the kaupapa of the event, please ensure items are freshly washed and free of significant stains or holes. We will return items that do not meet these criteria.
We are also looking for volunteers! We need helpers for the night of the event so please sign up on Google docs.
