Who runs it?...and how do I get involved?
The Mini Fair is organised and run by Friends of the School (FotS). It’s a great way to bring our school whānau together.
Does my child have to bring money?
This is optional. If you are sending your child with money please put this into a named purse or small sealable bag. There is no cash out facility at the office.
Do I need to send my child’s usual lunch?
There is enough food that your child can buy items for lunch. This is one of the small number of times where we have ‘treat’ food, so there are limited healthy options.
What if it rains?
The Mini fair is held on the field, it will go ahead regardless of the weather! We will move to the hall if we need to.
On the morning of the Mini Fair:
BAKING - Please bring baking donations for the cake stall into the meeting room off to the side of the office. If you would like your container back, please send baking in a named container.
PLANTS - Please bring potted plants, bunches of herbs from your garden into the office foyer.
When should I come to school?
We start our younger children’s Mini Fair shopping slightly earlier to give them a quieter start to the event.
Meet Kiwi Year 0-1 and Kea Year 2 Learning Communities outside their classrooms so that you can go down and start shopping with them.
If your children are in Kereru and Piwakawaka (Year 3-6), please meet them at either the field or hall entrance (if weather is wet) at 12.50.
Start times for children’s shopping:
Kiwi team - 12.40pm
Kea team - 12.45pm
All other classes and family members - 12.50pm
The Mini Fair will finish between 1.30 and 1.50pm
