Kiwi Learning At Home 2022

Learning At Home If You Child Is Isolated

Monday 28th February 2022

Dear Families

During these very trying times we are aware that children may need to access learning at home or at school because of the need to isolate..

The Kiwi Team decided at the beginning of this year to prepare for this possibility. With this in mind we have created virtual classrooms that mirror the learning within our classrooms. Each week we are preparing a classroom that has links to videos and stories that consolidate our letter and sight word of the week. Other activities have also been included - art activities, fitness videos and songs we enjoy.

These classrooms will be shared each week via Seesaw and can be activated by clicking the link icon on the left hand side of the page. This will open the classroom in another page. Once this has been done you can click on the pictures and activate the video links. The Kiwi Team teachers are also in each classroom - can you find them?

Printed Learning

Printed packs are also available. If you can print at home there will be a link on the virtual classroom each week. Packs can also be printed at school and if possible collected by someone who can take it home for you. Please let us know if you need resources like scissors, glue, coloured pencils and we can ensure some are added to your pack.

Zoom Calls

If there is a teacher isolating at home, who is feeling well enough, zoom calls will be arranged. These will include activities that support the virtual classroom and follow the learning at school.

Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the learning tasks. As always we are here to support you and your family through these difficult times. Please look after yourselves and keep in contact.

Zoom invite

Children in the Kiwi Team who are learning at home are welcome to join any of these zooms.

This site is based on 2021 content.

We are directing whānau who have children learning at home due to the need to isolate in 2022 to this site to find additional learning to what their teacher shares if they need it.

There is a huge amount of learning which will be new and unseen because your child is in a different team and class now in 2022.
