Distance learning if your child is isolating at home

Tuesday 22 February 2022

Dear Families,

During these COVID times, your child may have to isolate at home for a number of days.

Here is what to expect in terms of distance learning:

If your child is isolating at home for 1- 5 days:

-encourage your child to work through the homework tasks. This homework was sent out to you by your class teacher on Seesaw on Monday 14 February. It was also printed out and given to each student on Monday 14th February: 2022 T1 Piwakawaka home learning

-have a look at last year's Learning from home website. There is so much learning to choose from. https://sites.google.com/onehungaprimary.school.nz/opslaunchsiteforlearningfromho/home

-your child’s teacher will also assign one or two Seesaw tasks from the Seesaw library

-Mathletics is all set up for your child. Please ask your child’s teacher for their code if they need it

If your child is isolating at home for 6 + days:

-encourage your child to work through our Piwakawaka kotahi 2022 pack. This is designed to last for 6-10 days. We also have our Piwakawaka Rua pack available on the site.

-students are encouraged to share their learning through Seesaw

If your child is isolating again and needs more learning:

-Please go to the Piwakawaka Akonga site. There are a number of slideshows in all the different learning areas for your child to work through. Most of this learning relates to what we are learning in class.
